100 Days of Why Week 2 (so far)

Day 8
Because the program WORKS!

Day 9
Because I’d like to wear my hair down without sweating.

Day 10
Because I need to change my mindset about food. Rewarding myself with food is not good thinking. Eating huge portions is not smart.

Day 11
Because it’s possible to have treats without binging.

Day 12
Because I sweat from places I’d like to not sweat, or sweat less.

Anyone can workout...

Week 1 Weigh In and Next Week's Goals

September 16, 2018

Down 8.2lbs and received my 5lb charm!

SW 246.2
CW 238

Total loss 8.2lbs

-------------------------------------------

Goals for Next Week:
  • blue dots five days (fri/sat are our birthdays) which means no less than 10 points under and no more than 5 points over my points allowance
  • drink 4 glasses of water (each glass is 20oz)
  • gym 3 days a week (or gym + 15 min exercise at home/out)

100 Days of Why Week 1

These were all made on different days, I just want to put them together instead of make tons of different posts for them. Future ones I'll put in their own posts.

Day 1
Because my joints hurt from the extra weight and I don’t want to be in pain all the time.

Day 2
Because I want to set a good example for my children

Day 3
Because I want to be able to shop for clothes in any store and find things that fit.

Day 4
Because I want to stop looking in the mirror and thinking “when did I gain that much weight?”

Day 5
Because yard work makes me drip sweat and feel gross.

Day 6
Because I want to be taken seriously at the doctor’s office and not shrugged off for something that’s actually wrong, being told “try losing weight”.

Day 7
Because I need to learn REAL portion control.

GW somewhere around 150, I’ll see what looks right on my frame when I get there

Don’t mind my icky mirror. The kids bang their toothbrushes.

This is me

It's been a while. Quite a while. I've been back on plan for 11 days now but I was trying other sources of blogging like tumblr. I don't like them as much. So I'm back here and it's gonna be a wave of posts coming in while I post everything here.

I’m a 30 year old stay at home mom/chauffeur to 3 small kids, yes 3 now. They are (almost) 6, 4 and 19 months. I started this blog back when we were trying to conceive our oldest... 7 years ago!

I like video games (world of Warcraft mostly) and netflix binging. I don’t like many forms of exercise and the ones I don’t dislike, I would still prefer to be gaming instead of doing.

I have yo-yo’d up and down multiple times in the last 8 years. Before my wedding in 2010, I lost 30lbs, falling off due to stress after my grandpa died, gaining it all back plus some. After my first miscarriage in 2011, I jumped back on as something to focus myself on and hopefully help us conceive again and lost 30lbs, only to gain it back and never restart after our first was born. A few other times I’ve tried for shorter periods of time and lost motivation.

This time I am determined and I feel like my mind is in the right place. I want to do this for ME, for MY health. It's not just about being skinnier and liking who I see in the mirror.

I don’t want to remove all of the activities that I like from my life and switch to exercise instead, but I’m trying to find a balance. With my oldest in 1st grade and my middle in preschool, I’ve got a few hours with just my youngest. We have registered for a YMCA membership and I will head there to work out while she is in preschool. Fingers crossed the baby cooperates with the childcare there or it will end up just being swimming with him -_-

My extra weight classifies me as obese, though I didn’t feel that big until after our third baby when my joints took a beating.

So, here we go again, for the last time!

Back Again

Hopefully this will be my last time starting over again. Our son is now 3.5 years old and our daughter is almost 20 months old. We are planning to have a 3rd but want to get debt free soon. I plan to get a side job to help out with that. I'm a SAHM currently and looking forward to getting away from the kids even if it is for a job. In addition to the job, I want to lose a bunch of weight before getting pregnant again so that I can hopefully have a better chance at keeping my blood pressure down at the end of pregnancy and finally get my homebirth. I don't want to wait too long to have #3 so it's time to crack down on this weight loss. I'm at my highest non pregnant weight ever and it's frustrating for me.

Here's my starting point:
